CALYVRA® Laundry Detergent Sheets — Ingredients & Formulation

At CALYVRA®, we believe good products should come with clear information.

Our fragrance-free laundry detergent sheets combine a carefully balanced blend of cleaning surfactants, water-conditioning ingredients and four specialised enzymes designed to help tackle everyday laundry soils, oils, protein-based stains and starchy residues.

CALYVRA® Laundry Detergent Sheets contain polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), a water-soluble polymer used to help form the sheet. Under the current EU regulatory definition, water-soluble PVA is not classified as a microplastic.

Our product also comes in 100% plastic-free retail packaging and a compact format that takes up less space and is easier to store and transport.

Each CALYVRA® box contains 100 full sheets = 200 strips = up to 200 normal washes.

That capacity is deliberate. At CALYVRA®, we operate differently. Rather than reducing the number of washes in each box simply to encourage customers to buy more frequently, we want to give customers more product, strong performance and genuine value for their money.

We believe customers should receive a high-quality product at a fair price — and that means giving you more value in every box.

    According to our manufacturing partner’s technical documentation, the CALYVRA® formulation is phosphate-free and made without fluorescent whitening agents (optical brighteners).

Four-Enzyme Cleaning System

CALYVRA® uses four different cleaning enzymes, each selected to work on a different type of everyday laundry soil.

Protease (Subtilisin)
Helps break down protein-based stains.

Lipase
Helps target oils and fatty residues.

Cellulase
Works on fabric fibres and helps reduce fuzz and pilling.

Alpha-amylase
Helps break down starchy residues such as pasta, rice and sauces.

Together, these enzymes support the wider surfactant system to deliver strong everyday cleaning performance.

A Balanced Cleaning Formula

CALYVRA® combines anionic, amphoteric and non-ionic surfactants with water-conditioning ingredients and our four-enzyme cleaning system.

 

Our current fragrance-free formula is made without:

  • Added perfume

  • Added colours

  • Added chlorine bleach

  • Phosphates

  • Optical brighteners

Several ingredients in the formula are described by our manufacturing partner as plant-derived, or plant-derived with additional processing, including sodium lauryl sulfate, glycerol, MES, capryl glucoside, cocamidopropyl betaine, lauroamide propyl oxide and C12-18 ethoxylated alcohols.

Before launching our laundry sheets, we evaluated nearly 200 potential manufacturing and formulation partners worldwide, tested what they could produce, compared performance, and worked through development with the strongest candidates.

In the end, we selected one partner.

In our opinion, they delivered the strongest combination of product quality, formulation, performance and commercial value for what we wanted CALYVRA® to become.

Detergent Composition

In accordance with detergent ingredient categories, the current formulation contains:

  • Anionic surfactants: ≥30%

  • Amphoteric surfactants: 5–15%

  • Non-ionic surfactants: <5%

  • Enzymes

Fragrance-Free by Design

CALYVRA® contains no added perfume.

If you prefer fragranced laundry, you can still use your preferred fabric softener, laundry perfume or scent beads separately, giving you control over the fragrance you want.

Packaging

CALYVRA® Laundry Detergent Sheets are supplied in 100% plastic-free retail packaging.

Compact sheets also help reduce the need for large detergent bottles and bulky storage.

Product Safety

As with all household cleaning products, CALYVRA® should be used according to the instructions provided on the packaging.

The current finished product carries the following classification:

  • H315 — Causes skin irritation

  • H317 — May cause an allergic skin reaction

  • H319 — Causes serious eye irritation
